The 3rd International HomeTech & Electra 2026 Exhibition has concluded in Almaty

The HomeTech & Electra 2026 international exhibition took place from August 6 to 8 at the Atakent Exhibition Center in Almaty. Marking the project's third season, the event represented another step toward establishing a platform that connects Kazakhstani businesses with foreign manufacturers, investors, marketplaces, and diplomatic and institutional partners.

World Silk Way LLP organized the exhibition and the accompanying business program.

This year, 119 companies from five countries showcased their products and solutions. Companies from China made up the largest share of the international exhibition, with 98 participants—representing 82.4% of the total. Companies from Kazakhstan, Russia, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan also took part in the event.

Over the course of three days, 3,050 direct B2B meetings took place. A key feature of the exhibition was the B2B Matchmaking program, organized by B2B Way Club; it focused on identifying potential partners and facilitating substantive negotiations among manufacturers, importers, distributors, retail chains, and Kazakhstani businesses.

"Each year, B2B Way Club organizes meetings that go beyond the random encounters typical of trade shows. We analyze the interests of manufacturers and the requirements of Kazakhstani companies in advance, identify potential partners, and arrange targeted negotiations," notes Asiya Burlibayeva, head of the B2B Way Club project.

One of the key events of the first day was the Diplomatic Business Forum 2026, which brought together around 400 participants. Attendees included representatives from the diplomatic missions of the USA, Hungary, China, Germany, the Czech Republic, Singapore, and Nigeria, as well as from government agencies, development institutions, international organizations, and the business community.

The forum focused on economic diplomacy, international trade, investment, non-commodity exports, the entry of Kazakhstani businesses into foreign markets, industrial cooperation, and localization. Technology transfer and the establishment of joint ventures were also discussed as specific topics.

Ainur Amirbekova, Deputy Director General of QazTrade Center for Trade Policy Development JSC, presented support tools for non-commodity exports, including export acceleration, trade and economic missions, analytical support, and digital tools for promoting Kazakhstani products.

Aibol Rakhymbayev, Head of the Almaty Region Department of Entrepreneurship and Industrial-Innovative Development, presented the region's investment potential. Information was shared with an international audience regarding 77 projects involving foreign participation—with a total value exceeding 4.7 trillion tenge—that are expected to create more than 65,000 jobs.

Bauyrzhan Yermekbayev, a representative of the Almaty Region Regional Development Center, presented the Alatau Invest initiative.

In doing so, he showcased Kazakhstan’s opportunities for foreign companies and investors regarding service operations, production localization, industrial cooperation, and the implementation of investment projects.

A dedicated session of the forum focused on the technological development of Almaty. Ruslan Barmashev, Managing Director for IT at the Almaty City Development Center, presented "Smart City Almaty: Data and Digital Infrastructure." International participants were introduced to the city’s data platform, digital twin, and situational center, as well as digital solutions in the fields of transport, utilities, construction, the environment, and public safety.

On August 7, the Kazakhstan Sellers and Marketplaces Forum took place as part of HomeTech & Electra 2026, bringing together over 1,000 participants. Experts discussed the development of e-commerce, artificial intelligence and digital transformation, marketplaces, international logistics and cross-border trade, analytics, brand development, tax compliance, and digital B2B procurement.

Representatives from Wildberries, Ozon Kazakhstan, Uzum Market, MMarket, ROBOHUB, Saruar Logistics, ODEPT, and other companies and organizations participated in the program.

One of the practical outcomes of the forum was the expansion of cross-border cooperation. The Association of Sellers, Marketplaces, and E-commerce Logistics of the Republic of Kazakhstan signed cooperation memoranda with ROBOHUB and the Cross-Border E-Commerce Association of the Kyrgyz Republic. In addition, agreements were reached regarding future collaboration with Uzum Market and the Association of Sellers of Uzbekistan.

As in the previous exhibition season, business activities related to HomeTech & Electra continued even after the exhibition had closed.

On August 15, 2026—one week after the exhibition concluded—a trilateral framework agreement was signed between World Silk Way LLP, the Kazakhstan Agency for the Development of Youth Diplomacy (KazYouthDiplomacy) LLP, and B Line Holding (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia). The document outlines strategic cooperation, the development of international projects, and commercial collaboration.

Engagement with foreign business entities and diplomatic missions also continued. Following the Diplomatic Business Forum, representatives of diplomatic missions expressed interest in helping to attract manufacturers and companies from their respective countries to participate in HomeTech & Electra 2027.

The exhibition’s business program concluded with the international business forum "Úzdik Kásipker – Iri Tulǵa" (Outstanding Entrepreneur – Prominent Figure), organized by the Republican Center for Entrepreneurship Support with organizational and programmatic coordination provided by World Silk Way LLP.

The event was attended by business representatives from Almaty, Astana, Aktau, Taraz, Shymkent, Kostanay, Karaganda, Atyrau, Turkistan, Taldykorgan, Pavlodar, the Almaty Region, and other parts of Kazakhstan, as well as representatives from China, Turkey, Germany, and Russia.

The focus was on state support for entrepreneurship, investment, exports and imports, production development, industrial cooperation, international trade, tax and legal literacy, and new technologies.

"We can now confidently state that HomeTech & Electra is not merely a product exhibition but an international business platform where representatives from government, the business community, and foreign companies move from initial introductions to concrete agreements. Each year, we create the conditions necessary for direct supplies, new partnerships, production localization, investment attraction, and market expansion," concluded Azat Asembay, Director of World Silk Way LLP and Project Head of HomeTech & Electra 2026.
