Series of Targeted B2B Meetings on Household Appliances Procurement for Kazakhstan Launched in Ningbo

As part of the international exhibition of consumer goods and household appliances, a series of specialized procurement B2B meetings has been launched, aimed at precise matching of supply and demand between Chinese manufacturers and Kazakhstani buyers.

The project is being implemented in the Cixi Household Appliance Industry Cluster (Ningbo, China) and is focused on developing systematic interaction with the markets of Kazakhstan and Central Asian countries.

Today, the Central Asian market, with a population of about 81.9 million people and a combined GDP of approximately $550 billion (2025 estimate), continues to show steady growth in the consumption of household appliances and electronics.

Kazakhstan maintains its status as the key economic center of the region, with a population of 20.47 million people (2026) and a nominal GDP of approximately $300–360 billion (2025–2026, according to IMF estimates), accounting for about 55–60% of Central Asia’s total economy.

GDP per capita in Kazakhstan in 2025–2026 is estimated at approximately $14,800, reflecting steady income growth and forming stable consumer demand.

According to Statista Market Insights (Household Appliances Market Kazakhstan), the market volume of household appliances in Kazakhstan in 2025 reached approximately $2.0 billion (revenue). Steady growth is expected in the medium term, with a projected CAGR of around 5% for 2025–2030.

Exports of Chinese household appliances to Kazakhstan increased by 42.3%, reaching $1.13 billion, reinforcing China’s position as the leading supplier.

The main objective of the B2B meeting series is to ensure direct matching of Kazakhstani buyers’ needs with the capabilities of verified manufacturers, as well as to accelerate suppliers’ entry into the Kazakhstan market through pre-arranged negotiation sessions.

The format includes five sessions held from April 16 to May 15, 2026. Each session brings together 5 key buyers from Kazakhstan and up to 10 suppliers selected based on specific requests.

The meetings are conducted in a hybrid format: buyers join online, while suppliers are coordinated offline in Ningbo.

Program and Work Structure

Each session consists of two key stages:

Analytical Block (25 minutes)
Participants receive an overview of:

  • trends in the Central Asian household appliances market;
  • specifics of procurement models in Kazakhstan;
  • current needs of specific buyers;
  • market entry channels for Chinese companies, including participation in specialized exhibitions.

Direct Negotiation Session (2.5 hours)

The “1 buyer – 1–3 suppliers” format ensures high precision of interaction. Each meeting lasts 25 minutes and includes:

  • buyer presentation (5 minutes);
  • supplier presentation (10 minutes);
  • discussion and documentation of intentions (10 minutes), including agreements on further cooperation, requests for commercial proposals and product samples.

Preparation and Organizational System

To improve negotiation efficiency, a standardized preparation system has been implemented:

  • buyer needs map (in Chinese and English);
  • advance distribution of supplier materials 2 days before the meeting;
  • company presentation materials;
  • unified table for recording negotiation results;
  • strict timing with moderation and technical support.

Each session team includes interpreters, technical specialists, and coordinators ensuring process control and accurate documentation of agreements.

Participants and Supplier Pool Formation

Participants include:

  • participants of the Kazakhstan Household Appliances Exhibition 2026;
  • participants of the previous 2025 exhibition;
  • new companies selected based on specific buyer requests.

Among the Kazakhstani participants are key procurement companies operating in electrical equipment, climate control, and household appliances segments, including retail chains, distributors, and e-commerce platforms.

Special attention is given to converting negotiations into concrete commercial results. Following each meeting, lists of interested suppliers, requests for commercial proposals, and product samples are generated.

Further work follows an accelerated cycle:

  • 24 hours – sending negotiation minutes;
  • 2 days – preparation of commercial proposals;
  • 5 days – delivery of samples;
  • 15 days – transition to orders or integration into exhibition participation.

The key objective of the project is to ensure that final decisions and order confirmations take place at the exhibition venue in Kazakhstan, strengthening its role as a deal-making center.

Thus, the launch of the B2B meeting series in Ningbo serves as an important tool for developing trade relations between China and Kazakhstan and reinforcing the exhibition’s position as a key business platform in the region.
